Have you seen our short video series with Artisan Electrics? Artisan Electrics is a rapidly growing electrical company specialising in Electric Vehicle Charging, Electrical Testing & Inspection, Smart Home Technology, and Solar & Battery Storage with an extremely popular YouTube channel. We invited the guys at Artisan Electrics for a tour behind the scenes of our state-of-the-art lithium recycling workshop and storage facility.

The video covers lots of behind-the-scenes information including how the batteries are transported, what is involved in the process of safely dismantling the batteries, the components that make up the Lithium battery as well as the results of our battery shredding and what is included in separating the materials.

Throughout the series as well our Technical Director Alan Colledge also showcases how we harness the discharged energy from the safely dismantled lithium batteries and repurpose it to charge areas of our facility.

We enjoyed having the team from Artisan Electrics on our site, it’s great to help create awareness of the precautions needed when handling end-of-life lithium batteries.

As governments around the world focus more intently on pollution and carbon emissions, we will see a steady switch to electric vehicles and ultimately an outlet will be needed for the damaged or expired batteries that run them.
